Blogging elsewhere
I've had some time to think about blogging. I've had some time to re-think
MySpace. I've had some time to live. Now it's time to write. But not here. I've switched to
Virb. I got a cool url, since it's a new community site.
www.virb.com/smithershope to see you there!
posts
I recently posted 7779 envelopes... Who's saying I hardly post anything??
We've got some explaining to do
Hmm, I'm usually more of the nuanced approach but this image does make a man think. Say what you want, sure it's not that simple, like the tone of voice or not, and sure it doesn't bring a solution to a problem and isn't a constructive argument to a discussion but still...

Another thought pops up: I'm not a very 'prosperity-teaching-minded' person. Sure I believe God is the best banker, He is never broke, He's got all the money in the world. But do the rich become richer just because of God's favor? Does God dislike Africans that much?
well hope you have enjoyed my deep, serious post. I think it's banned from most blogs but I have peace with my introspective, seriously deep side...
whoa!
Easily the best quote I've read in a long time:
"A church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints."
Skyrider on the move
Skyrider is on the move. Saturday 16 September we'll present our debut album 'Driven to Deliverance with a concert @ little cave in Rotterdam. We've even made band pictures to match. Don't we look cool now? Hopefully you'll come to Rotterdam, check for more info www.myspace.com/thereheisskyrider.
shalom.
dump
I'll write again soon but I just had to dump this puppy here... The red area's are countries that I've visited. In total I've visited 20 countries in my life (not counting the countries my mom visited while I was in her tummy) which means 8% of the worlds countries. Peanuts of course as my
colleague is eager to remind me of with his 13%. But he sucks anyway. I never visited Southern America and Asia. But he never set foot on the continent of Africa. Now that's stupid.

studio and the life
I've so much to tell and yet so little comes to mind. Most importantly, the
studio time we booked as Skyrider was great.

Rene (producer) helped us a great deal. He's very clever in seeing what works and what works better. He's not a very critical guy which helped us rookies and half rookies to work a little more confidently. Mixing was done by
Martijn and he did a great job. Now the wait is for the release date. There's a lot of stuff we have to get ready before you'll get the product in your hands!!
Work @
Soul Survivor is going sweet. Very inspiring vision is birthing in our office.
Elmar and I are really brewing on the future of Soul Survivor on our work field (communication and media). It's a lot of fun. If you wanna check me out during office hours click
here. Tuesday I went with Elmar to
Adobe Live in Nieuwegein. It's a huge seminarprogram with the best of what
Adobe has to offer. I won't tell you the details but it was nice!
We're trying to find a place in Harderwijk. We want to move as soon as possible but it ain't easy finding a home to rent that's within budget. With minimum wage that I earn buying a house is not an option. I could get a mortgage that would buy me a shed. But we're cool with it. We'll find something.
Oh and last month my in-laws visited from South Africa. They're abroad most of the year and having them in the house is quite a serious adaption. But it all worked out ok, just a lil' respect and consideration. We dropped them off last saturday on the
airport so
Carmen and I are a duo again in the house...
